We must confess that it is impossible to prepare a universal translator who is competent in all areas, or even in one type of translation (scientific, technical, financial or economic). The way out of this situation could be the installation of the post of “reviser” or “senior translator” from among university professors or professionals, successfully working in this area for several years. Although, the management of firms will hardly agree to increase the costs of such a staff expansion, moreover, the requirements of a customer and especially individuals to the level of translation are often not very high. Another solution of this problem would be graduation’s reduction of students–translators who speak in English and German, as now there is their overproduction in the market, and many of them work as teachers or managers. At the same time there is a need for differentiation of future translators’ training: on the bachelor’s level the main linguistic and translation competences are formed, whereas a specialist or a master takes advanced training on one or two areas. The only knowledge of the vocabulary on the subject is not enough: you must understand what you translate. For example, the translator of financial and economic documentation in a short form can learn several courses: “Marketing”, “Banking”, etc.; for the translation of official and business documents you need knowledge of an administrative assistant; a translator at the court cannot do without proficiency in the fundamentals of jurisprudence. Comprehensibility of scientific texts can be improved by means of the course “Concepts of modern science”: there is no secret that most of the humanities students, especially girls, are opposed to the study of this discipline, but this course (in Russian KSE) turned into an optional class, would be studied only by future specialists in technical translation.

In this case before teachers and supervisors there is a problem of creating integrated courses. Our proposed measures are based on the assessment of the current situation in the market of translation services, and in connection with the reform of the higher education system, changes in training of linguists and translators are inevitable.
